How Did You Meet Your Closest Friend.

When I was nine years old my family took a trip up to Salmon Arm for my sister Kaeloni's fastpitch tournament. During the time we were there I had met a girl the same age as myself. Whom to me, understood every weird feature about me. This young lady was just as goofy as I was. In those three days that my family had spent in Salmon Arm I was definatley the one who benefited out of it, I had a new bestfriend. That Sunday was filled with a few tears, it was time for us to go home, and Sierra couldn't come with us. I soon got over that. I was back here in Penticton and back to my old friends at elementry school, they were good enough i geuss. The next year came faster, and the year after that came ever faster and before I knew it. Grade 5. I finally had ten more months then I would be in middle school. It was the begginging of January, (just comming back from winter break) when the principle had walked into my classroom to announce that we had a new student being added to our class list. He had explained where she had been recently going to school at, the town of Salmon Arm. I did not think much about this, it has been 2 years since I had been there. As soon as the new student had walked into my classroom, my eyes had become larger, YES! It was her, Sierra. At this time my mind has been going in so many different dirrections. How could this be? What a coincidence.

The Lottery and Perils of Indifferance

1) The Danger of being despicable

2)The ending of "The Lottery" to me and most people does seem disturbing. The village people were able to take Tessies life without showing and emotiong or empathy. They did it a second time so she would have her husband murdered. The village people were able to take Tessies life like it was normal. I would relate this carless act to what is happening right now in Darfur. The army over in Africa are taking young children and brainwashing them with thoughts saying its okay to kill someone and not feel anything. They want to make these children cold hearted and Canada nor the US are doing anything about it. We are sitting here in a computler class writing about this like its okay, when right now at this very moment families are being killed and the young men are being taken from the homes to make the army bigger. The boys in Darfur start training at a young age to be able to kill people with no feeling.

Anything...

It all starts back in 2009 when my mom was offered a job in another town, the town of Oliver bc. Wine country. She was offered the position of an Aboriginal Linguistic teacher. Her role was to teach the okanagan language to the 7th generation of native children so that the language doesnt become lost. She immediatley went into avtion and took the job. Her taking the job mean at home that I and my two old sisters would have to hold the fort down every morning to get the younger ones up showered and ready to catch the bus. My dad started word at 6:15 so he was always out of the house my 545. My mom was up and showered and ready to go leave for the 25 minute route to oliver at 730. Driving the 25 minutes became tiring for my mother and this year, my grade 12 year they decided to give my independance and my older sisters the responsibily of taking care of me. They had found a house in oliver and now moved my three younger siblings to attend school there. I live with my two older sisters, but they both work full-time and have boyfriends so i am alone at the house from the time i get off the buss until the next morning i awake. Personally this expereince so far has been quite the ride, i pay for my own groceries and gas, but at the same time i LOVE it. This is my blog for the week, I'll let you know how im doing in a month or so. Thank you for letting me share my thoughts:)

ciao.

Top 3

My top 3 is going to be about fruit. I have three top fruit that i couldnt possibly go without eating. Strawberries,Pineapples, and Mangos. Based on appeal, taste, and texture.

Strawberries, becuase the taste of them are soo good. Strawberries can be put on everything like waffles pancackes, ice cream, cereal, chocolater, and whip cream. mmmm!

Pineapples, pineapples, pineapples. What isnt good about them? everyone likes pineapples right? The texture is cool, and they are easy to bit through, and the taste tingles the mouth.

Mangos. all i have to say is this is the king of all fruits. They are in everything these days becuase they are soo delicious. I like having mango's for breakfast. nothing better then waking up and having your favourite fruit for a good morning start to your day.

My suppaaa powwaah

If i had a superpower i would choose to have an invisible power. That way i would be able to stock everyone i wanted to. I would be able to go everywhere that person goes and they wouldnt be able to see me just hear me, that way i could make them paranoid. I would use my super power to an advantage and to the point of being able to help my friends during their exams. My super power to me feels superior to others. I love my super power!
